Cinco palestinos muertos y 356 heridos en incidentes en la frontera de Gaza (Fotos)

Cinco palestinos han muerto y 356 han resultado heridos en incidentes con efectivos israelíes en la frontera entre Gaza e Israel en la mañana de hoy en la protesta denominada Gran Marcha del Retorno, convocada por Hamás con motivo de la conmemoración hoy del Día de la Tierra.

Unas 17.000 personas se acercaron a la divisoria en cinco puntos de la Franja, ante lo que el Ejército israelí respondió con gases lacrimógenos y munición real contra los que se aproximaron a la verja más de lo permitido.





Según confirmó a Efe el portavoz del Ministerio de Salud en Gaza, Ashraf al Qedra, un palestino de 27 años murió esta mañana temprano por disparos de los soldados israelíes contra dos campesinos que transitaban en sus tierras cerca de la frontera en el sur este la ciudad de Jan Yunis, mientras que el otro fue herido.

Más tarde, tras iniciarse la manifestación masiva con miles de personas caminando hacia seis puntos de la frontera, otros cuatro palestinos murieron y 356 resultaron heridos por fuego israelí en confrontaciones violentas, aseguró el portavoz.

Uno de ellos murió en el este de Yabalia (norte de Gaza) de un disparo en el abdomen, otros dos perdieron la vida al este de Rafah (sur de Gaza) por disparos en la cabeza, mientras el cuarto, de 16 años, pereció también de disparos en el norte del territorio a primera hora de la tarde.

Según señalaron a Efe los testigos, varios jóvenes palestinos lanzaron piedras contra los soldados israelíes, que dispararon gases lacrimógenos para dispersar a los miles de hombres, mujeres y niños que acudieron a seis puntos de la divisoria ondeando banderas palestinas en respuesta al llamamiento del movimiento Hamás para una participación masiva en las marchas de hoy.

El evento de protesta coincide Día de la Tierra, en que los palestinos recuerdan la muerte de seis árabes israelíes en Galilea, en el norte de Israel, en 1976 en protestas contra la confiscación de tierras.

El movimiento islamista Hamás ha instado a la población de Gaza a mantener la protesta con una sentada en tiendas de campaña hasta el próximo 15 de mayo, día de la Nakba (Catástrofe) en que los palestinos recuerdan su desposesión y exilio que supuso para ellos la creación de Israel en 1948.

El Ejército israelí señaló en un comunicado que “17.000 palestinos se manifiestan violentamente en cinco localidades diferente de la Franja de Gaza. Los manifestantes ruedan neumáticos en llamas, y lanzan bombas incendiarias y piedras a la valla de seguridad”, mientras que las tropas del Ejército “responden con medios de dispersión y disparando contra los principales instigadores”.

“Con un refuerzo en sus tropas, el Ejército israelí está preparado para responder a las manifestaciones violentas programadas en toda Gaza, si fuera necesario” indica la nota, la cual añade que “la organización terrorista Hamás pone en peligro las vidas de las gentes de Gaza y las utiliza par camuflar sus actividades terroristas”.
